1909-1976Dinamico hombre de cine, en el mas amplio sentido de la palabra. De operador de cabina a productor, pasando por exhibidor, estamos ante uno de los hombres importantes de Hollywood, que conservo su individualidad como cineasta, sin asociarse a ninguna de las grandes empresas productoras, aunque tuvo intereses economicos en la Fox. Funda y dirige Lippert Pictures en los anos 40 y principios de los 50, asi como Regal Pictures a finales de los 50. Como presidente de Lippert, tuvo tambien intereses en Action Pictures y fue, al mismo tiempo, vicepresidente de Screen Guild. En total, de sus manos salieron mas de 300 peliculas, la mayor parte, eso si, modestos productos de genero.
